July: Alt proteins and rational wolves?

What follows is a brief recap of the month of July, featuring some rationality games, the weird and wonderful world of proteins, and a healthy dose of coworking! We hope it brings fond memories to those of you who have attended an event, and inspires those of you who haven’t been able to come along in the near future! And now for the recap of July, best expressed in pictures and captions:

The evolution of proteins: Past, present and future

Anya Reshetnyak gave us a very entertaining overview of the history of proteins in our diet, and how the development of new alternatives has the potential to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems. We thank Anya for her knowledge, quirkiness and originality: she even brought a giant fork! You can watch the full talk here.

Rationality meetup

Tobi Baur organised our second rationality meetup of the year in Parc Ciutadella. We learned how to strategise, detect biases in ourselves and inconsistencies in others’ behaviour through the game of “Werewolf”🐺

Coworking

We held two sessions, and this photo was taken at our second at Sopa in Poblenou. Whether it’s climate change research, effective giving or animal advocacy, work is simply more enjoyable when surrounded by likeminded people and fresh juice 🍊
